Today my little girl crawled up into my lap

What will I be when I grow up? Will I still live with you?”
As I held her in my arms, I prayed she’d understand…

Then she crawled down off my lap, her Daddy took her off to bed

And then I saw a picture in my mind that seemed so far away
But when I closed my eyes, I could hear my mother say
